Since 2011, I have been working independently and on various accounts for creative agencies VSA Partners, The Office of Experience, 90octane, Hornall Anderson and the Garrand Agency to conceptualize and write brand and advertising stories across multiple channels to drive business, increase web traffic and promote sales/awareness for clients from a wide range of industries.

During this time one of my main responsibilities has been to create all manner of content for Allen Edmonds, including writing four static web pages outlining the company’s background and philosophy as well as creating hundreds of product descriptions.  In conjunction with the website content, I’ve also written marketing materials, email campaigns, catalog copy, hangtags, in-store signage, multi-media content, print ads and even edited a book of client stories. In fact, when it comes to creating a voice and managing it across multiple channels my rebranding work for Allen Edmonds demonstrates my ability to do just that

Other projects have included writing a 50-plus page journal about direct marketing, a 26-page journal about sustainable forestry, human-interest stories about sustainability initiatives in the paper products industry as well as editing and writing sales copy, banner ads, corporate websites and brand manifestos.

I also work as a copywriter independent of agencies and my freelance marketing work includes product descriptions, blogs, social media content as well as print and digital marketing materials for various companies.



• Lead copywriter for Allen Edmonds’ cross-channel rebranding effort that led to the company cracking the $100 million revenue mark for the first time in 2011, and increasing sales by 20% each year thereafter

• Researched/wrote a 26-page environmental journal about paper production that was shortlisted for the 2012 Pulp & Paper International (PPI) Awards Environmental Message, Promotional Campaign of the Year

• Created news and human interest stories for Sappi’s Sustainability Reports, for which the company garnered two PPI Environmental Strategy of the Year nominations

• Wrote web, headline, promotional, and social media copy for Sappi’s annual IDEAS THAT MATTER competition, winner of the 2013 PPI Award for Promotional Campaign of the Year Award

• Wrote headlines, taglines, body, and trade show copy for Mack Trucks rebranding campaign recognized on Under Consideration’s “Best of 2014” and Ideas BIG’s “Rebrands of 2014” lists.
