I am an award-winning writer and the former research editor for In Style special magazines, where I was responsible for all fact checking/research and oversaw the editorial management of product credits. I have also worked as a researcher at ESPN The Magazine, Ladies’ Home Journal, Teen People and Natural Health magazine, and am a regular contributor of adventure travel/outdoor sports/nonfiction book reviews to Publishers Weekly and of up-scale adventure travel and men’s lifestyle articles to outsidego.com.
My writing has appeared in countless publications including Men’s Journal, FHM, Plenty, Entertainment Weekly, ESPN The Magazine, Field & Stream, The Drake, Triathlete, Vegetarian Times and Fly Rod & Reel. Though I focus on celebrity lifestyles and outdoor sports such as fly fishing, hiking, running, surfing, etc., I also cover topics as diverse as sustainability, the environment, health, fitness, sports, literature, music, movies, fashion and travel. More recently, I have turned my attention to copywriting, writing web content and blogs for various companies as well as editing website content and marketing materials. I also have experience in the field of public relations and English education.
I have written and co-written many screenplays including MENDING THE LINE, which received a Big Sky Film Grant from the state of Montana, and THE PUSH, which was selected to be a part of the Reel Roundtable Reading Series and was a quarterfinalist in the Slamdance Screenwriting Contest.
After attending high school in Wilton, Connecticut, I received my undergraduate degree from Villanova University. I also hold Masters Degrees from New York University and Queen’s University in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
After many years of living in and around Yellowstone National Park, I now in live in Bozeman, Montana.
